Spotkanie z Panią Mary Rached
Uczniowie naszej szkoły mieli okazję porozmawiać z gościem o kulturze USA, posłuchać amerykańskiego akcentu i sprawdzić swoje umiejętności komunikacji.
Dnia 20 października uczniowie klas 2A, 2H, 3A, 3H oraz 4GWG spędzili dwie godziny z Panią Mary Rached rozmawiając o szkolnictwie, tradycjach, architekturze i jedzeniu w USA. Pani Rached pracowała z młodzieżą w szkołach publicznych i niepublicznych w Filadelfii i bardzo lubi kontakt z młodymi ludźmi. Uczniowie przygotowali interesujące pytania, pokazali gościowi szkołę i opowiadali o tym czego się uczą. Zwiedzanie szkoły zakończyło się spontanicznym krótkim pokazem tańca wykonanym przez szkolną grupę taneczną. Było to bardzo ciekawe popołudnie, ale najlepiej przeczytajcie co napisała o tym wydarzeniu jedna z uczestniczek.
On the 20th of October, there was a meeting with Ms Mary Rached from USA in our school. At first Ms Ewelina Willa, that organized the meeting, introduced us to Ms Mary and she gave us a delicious cake that she baked for us. After the sweet meal, we introduced ourselves and told what we like to do. Then it was time to ask some questions for Ms Mary. The questions were about different categories, including travel, food and architecture. We have learned how the Polish architecture is different as the American architecture, how Easter looks like in the USA, what to visit in Philadelphia and that Ms Mary has birthday on the Thanksgiving Day and much more interesting information. Before we started to ask Ms Mary, we got from Ms Ewelina cards on which we could draw and note what Ms Mary said. When all of us asked the question, we showed Ms Mary our cards and she said that we are the artists. We also took many photos together and we went to show Ms Mary our school. We showed some classes and our sports hall, where some students made a small dance show. At the end we said goodbye to Ms Mary. The meeting was awesome! Ms Mary is very kind and funny person.
